Dear visitors to the festival,

Berlin, the city of diversity and freedom, warmly welcomes you to the 13th Louis Lewandowski Festival 2024. I would also like to welcome you to our vibrant metropolis, which will play host to a festival of music and, above all, solidarity with Israel.

The Louis Lewandowski Festival is a tribute to the rich musical culture that characterizes Europe. In our multifaceted city, we find the ideal setting to discover together the musical treasures that unite us. Music as a language without borders gives us the opportunity to build bridges between people and develop a deeper understanding of each other.

Solidarity with Israel is a central value that we want to strengthen through this festival. Music as an ambassador of understanding transcends borders and unites hearts. In times when cohesion and solidarity are particularly important, we are sending another strong signal of our friendship with this festival.

Special thanks go to our dedicated festival director Nils Busch-Petersen, whose passion and expertise make a significant contribution to the success of this extraordinary event. His commitment to the promotion of music culture in our city and beyond is exemplary and deserves the highest recognition.

May the Louis Lewandowski Festival 2024 in Berlin not only be a musical highlight, but also an enriching journey through cultural diversity. I wish all participants and visitors unforgettable moments and inspiring encounters in our cosmopolitan capital.

Kai Wegner
