Catherine Kaspar grew up in Germany, France and Poland. The trained actress has performed in productions at many theaters in Germany. The actress won the Monica Bleibtreu Prize for her play about the NSU murders, directed by Israeli director Sapir Heller. She works as a theater musician in collaboration with director Wojtek Klemm. With her chanson band Déjà-vu, the multi-talented French chansonnier can be heard at various events and on stages throughout Germany. Catherine has also appeared in films by directors such as Andreas Dresen and Til Schweiger. Now that the Berliner-by-choice also lives mainly in Spain, she is working on a new musical project with Spanish influences. Her main themes in her work with lyrics and music are the understanding of cultures, peaceful coexistence and the possibility of a tolerant and happy, united humanity. In her collaboration with Elmar Werner, the artist has also been advocating a strong German-Israeli connection for several years.
