»The Warsaw Singers« is a Polish chamber choir founded in 2010 by conductor and artistic director Sebastian Gunerka and a few other members of the choir. The choir consists of 16 professional singers and performs mainly a cappella.

The main reason for founding the group was the need to provide diverse and musical experiences that spiritually fulfill the musicians. A special impulse to start the artistic activity was the project of Tomasz Kaznowski – Warsaw pianist and conductor, who offered the musicians the recording of his choral works.

They specialize in sacred music of all periods and religions, remaining committed to harmonic material from diverse sources with a special emphasis on works of Polish composers.

Their vocal interests have also extended towards valuable, liturgical Jewish music composed by many famous Polish cantors and composers such as David Eizenstadt, Louis Lewandowski and Chemjo Vinaver.

»The Warsaw Singers« interests are rooted in classical music but lighter musical influences are included with equal creativity and authenticity. »The Warsaw Singers« were nominated for Best Debut Album of the Year (classical music category) in the 2012 Fryderyk Music Awards.

The artistic director and conductor of »The Warsaw Singers« is Sebastian Gunerka, who graduated from Church Musicology Faculty of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (former Academy of Catholic Theology). He is a member of the Warsaw Philharmonic Choir conducted by Henryk Wojnarowski.
