The Jerusalem Cantors Choir was established in 1972 by a select group of students of the late Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Rivlin of Blessed Memory. Rabbi Rivlin was the founder of the “Shirat Yisrael Institute”. The choir’s repertoire includes Cantorial, liturgical, Yiddish, Chassidic and Israeli works.
The 32 members of the choir are all Cantors and Prayer Leaders – Tenors, Baritones and Bass singers, who view their involvement with the choir as a service for the public good. Members of the choir come from all walks of life. Among the members are attorneys, bankers, media personalities, educators, doctors and retirees. The Choir often performs Shabbath prayers and public events at religious Kibbutzim as well as other locations throughout Israel. The JCC appeard on Israeli TV as well as various radio stations. The choir has gone on international tours. Latest tours have included trips to the US, Canada, France, England and Germany (LLF 2011). Last year the Choir was invited to the „Festiwal Singera“ in Warsaw (a tribute to Polish-born Jewish American Nobel Prize-winning writer Isaac Bashevis Singer) and performed a concert in Budapest.
Paul Salter graduated with an Honors degree in solo piano from the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in the UK in 1983. After three further years of study at the RNCM, he emerged with two postgraduate degrees in accompaniment.
Whilst resident in the UK Paul gave concerts in Manchester, London and Europe. He made appearances on BBC TV and Radio and Independent TV. Paul conducted many shows for the Manchester Jewish Theatre Company for whom he was the Musical Director. He was the accompanist for the Manchester Jewish Male Voice Choir for many years and accompanied many world-famous Chazanim including Josef Malovani, Asher Heinowitz, Yaakov Motzen, David Bagley, Benzion Miller and Chazan Binyamin Muller.
On emigrating to Israel in 2000, Paul became the founding Musical director of the Capitol Music Theatre and musically directed many shows for the Jerusalem English-speaking Theatre and the Beit Hillel University Theatre Workshop. He is the joint founder of the Encore Educational Theatre and has conducted several highly acclaimed productions of Gilbert & Sullivan operas and Broadway classics. Paul conducted the Israel Chamber Orchestra in two concerts in the Tel Aviv Museum in 2006 and 2007 as well as the the National Festival Orchestra in two operas as part of the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival. He studied conducting at the Jerusalem Academy with Maestros Mendi Rodan, Stanley Sperber and Yvgeny Tsirlin.

Synagogal Ensemble Berlin
The Synagogal Ensemble Berlin (SEB) was founded in 2002 by Regina Yantian as a concert ensemble. It consists of 8 - 16 professional singers, who work at international opera houses and are also active as freelance concert singers in the choir of the Pestalozzistrasse Synagogue, among others. The Male Choir of Cantorial Art Academy was established in 1989 with personal support from Mikhail Gorbachev, then president of the USSR, and assistance from the Russian Jewish Community and JOINT, an American Jewish charity. In 1998 the choir was renamed the Hassidic Cappella and based at the Moscow Maryina Roshcha Jewish Community.
VOCALIZA WOMEN’S CHOIR OF TEL AVIV
Vocaliza women’s choir was founded in 1997. The choir works in Tel-Aviv, Israel under the musical direction and conducting of Ira Kalechman, with the piano accompaniment of Arin Maisky. The Moran Choir
The Moran Choir includes 40 young singers ages 12-18. It was established by Naomi Faran, in 1986. The vision of the choir is to provide young children coral education, musical training, and performance opportunities and to spread the love for choral singing in Israel and around the world.
